KONFORT 744

The KONFORT 744 is a recharge station developed by TEXA in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz own engineers. It conforms to the strict requirements of German constructors for maintenance and recharging operations with the new CO2 refrigerant.

Even though the 744 has been completely and accurately redesigned to ensure full compatibility with CO2 refrigerant, the easy and self-explanatory operation is similar with KONFORT family for R134a and R1234yf.

The station is fully automatic and able to complete the recharge cycle without any assistance from the operator. The 744 achieves the highest possible levels of precision. In fact, the quality of the components and the accuracy of the design permits recharging to be completed to a maximum tolerance of only 10 grams (2 grams for oil).

Special attention has also been paid to the system for releasing CO2 into the atmosphere. This takes place in a controlled manner to ensure the safety of the operator and of the system itself. The KONFORT 744 also incorporates an accurate system for measuring the concentration of CO2 in the surrounding air, and suspends charging if this approaches a dangerous level.

SPECIFIC SERIES SOLUTIONS

REFILLABLE HERMETICALLY SEALED OIL BOTTLES

Because standard bottles are not hermetically sealed, they always contain a percentage of air. The water molecules in the air bind with the oil and contaminate it. TEXA’s solution was to create special containers which prevent the oil from becoming contaminated by air and humidity. These have been patented. These special bottles can be re-used thanks to a special system which removes the air from the bottle.

SPECIAL AUTOMATIC LEAKAGE DETECTION FOR CO2

The 744 recharge station automatically checks for leaks in the vehicle's air conditioning circuit before it starts the recharge cycle. If a leak is detected, an innovative new function is available to locate it using forming gas (a mixture of 95% nitrogen and 5% hydrogen).

THERMAL PRINTER

The recharge station incorporates a thermal printer to provide detailed reports on all the operations performed.

OPERATING SOFTWARE

TEXA operating software conforms to the strictest requirements of accuracy and precision. TEXA software manages the recovery and recharge processes, in order to guarantee precession that was previously unknown. In particular, the automatic procedures assist the operator with repairs on highly sophisticated systems, such as those fitted on the new hybrid vehicles. All models have a removable SD card which allows communication with a Windows PC, check and certify all services and potential software updates.
